The Iliad

The Iliad epic tells an episode of the Trojan War. In this legendary war two sides faced each other, the Greeks versus the Trojans. In the text, the Greek side is often referred to as the Achaeans, Argives, or Danaans. While the Trojan side is often referred to by its allies, the Dardanians. Following the English text, this Indonesian translation also does not distinguish between tribes/nations or people. Danaan, for example, can mean the Greek nation, or the Greek people, depending on the context. Likewise with the Trojans and Dardanians.
