The book is lucidly written, and is in two parts. The first teaches BASIC, and the second consists of a dozen carefully constructed projects. These are wide-ranging and set the language into the context of solving real-world problems. Each project is laid out with a set of variables to give the reader insight into the practical applications of the language. Any version of BASIC can be used to solve the projects and the other excellent examples scattered throughout the book.
